Elections 2021 – Instructions for Voters

Dear Colleagues of DGC-associated CSOs:

The Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC), which strives to represent all organizations in association with the UN Department of Global Communications, is holding its 2021 Board Elections. Each CSO officially associated with DGC gets one chance to vote.

If you’re a designated voter who represents a DGC-associated NGO, please vote to select new leaders to serve our collective civil society.

Our polls will be open from May 10, 2021until 9:00 PM EDT (UTC-4) on June 9, 2021.  

Results will be announced at the GNEC Annual Meeting on June 24, 2021. 

There are 10 positions to be filled for the July 1, 2021—June 30, 2022 term:

The President,

the Second Vice President,

and 8 Directors.

When you’re ready to cast your ballot, please visit

This online ballot can be accessed from any smartphone or device that has full browser capabilities. 

Log in using credentials sent to voters via email. Each organization has a unique set of username and password.

Casting the ballot should take less than 10 minutes. Once you’re done, the system will give you a confirmation number.  This is proof that your vote has been successfully transmitted to the election system’s secure database. Your votes are confidential.

Please note that only those organizations associated with the Department of Global Communications that submitted their 2020 Biennial Review Report are eligible to vote in the 2021 GNEC elections. We have a special agreement with the United Nations Department of Global Communications and, if your organization did not submit its report, the Department of Global Communications has agreed to grant your organization 72 hours to submit it. We will reach out to those organizations that are in this situation and provide them with the instructions on how to submit the 2020 Biennial Review.   We thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
