Candidate: Dr C’fine Okorochukwu

Dr. C’fine Ezeanochie Okorochukwu was born in Orlu, Imo State, South Eastern region of Nigeria in 1971. He is happily married to Mrs. Serah Monigie Okorochukwu, with three beautiful daughters Meso, Muna, Mezirim, and a son Chimezie. C’fine is a devoted Christian of the Catholic denomination.
He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus in Nigeria (1999), where he studied medicine and surgery and obtained his Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery (MBBS). He further received his Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Imo State University Owerri, Imo State (2015). He has a certificate on prevention, control, treatment of malaria and schistosomiasis from China Center for Disease and Control, Shanghai in 2010.
Dr. C’fine is the founder of the Centre for Public Health, an organization he started at the University of Nigeria as an undergraduate with seven of his friends, then a University-based organization; he nurtured it to a National organization that is operating in 24 states out of 36 states in Nigeria. Under his leadership Centre for Public Health was granted special consultative status to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations in 2010 and 2015 was associated with the United Nations-Department of Public Information (UN-DPI) now Department of Global Communication (DGC). Centre for Public Health is a registered charity in New York, the USA, with 501c3 status. It will open Zambia, Kenya, and Rwanda offices before the end of this year. CPH networked with other CSOs in forming a Global Action Network with 32 members currently, a platform to advance women’s health all over the world.
